Florida is considered a prime vacation destination in the US, and with good reason. Its thousands of miles of coastline, beautiful islands, theme parks, and vibrant cities and towns will have you returning again and again.

Miami's South Beach is known for its colorful lifeguard towers and Art Deco buildings. It's touristy, but still a must-visit! Wynwood is another must in Miami, for the murals.

Universal Orlando is one of Florida's most-visited theme parks. Other parks to visit include Walt Disney World, also in Orlando, and Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay.

Swimming with manatees in Crystal River is another popular Florida experience. You have to go with an in-water guide, who ensures the manatees are treated with respect.

Everglades National Park covers 1.5 million acres and is home to diverse flora and fauna. Walk the Anhings Trail boardwalk to look for alligators, turtles, and birds.

You can only get to Dry Tortugas National Park by ferry or plane, but visitors that make the effort are rewarded with surreal scenery. The snorkeling here is excellent as well.

St. Augustine has a rich history and lots of architecture to admire. Visit the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, a 17th century fort built by the Spanish.

Destin, on Florida's gorgeous Emerald Coast, is famous for its white sand and turquoise waters. Go on a sunset cruise to spot dolphins, or do some deep sea fishing.

In Key West, snap a photo of the "Southernmost Point in the Continental USA" marker. Admire the conch shell houses in town and enjoy water activities.
